BioAg Field Site

The BioAg Field Site on the CSU Stanislaus campus is used for the application of and experimentation with permaculture, biointensive gardening techniques and associated research studies by faculty and students.

Botany Image Database 

The Botany Image Database contains over 800 images used in botany courses as well as introductory biology courses. 

Botany Microscope Slide Collection 

The Botany Microscope Slide Collection is a searchable database of microscope slides used in various botany courses at CSU Stanislaus.

CSUPERB Confocal Microscope Core Facility

The CSUPERB Confocal Microscope Core Facility provides access to a Leica TCS NT confocal laser scanning microscope for the faculty and students in the California State University System. Access is available through on-site visitation or remote access connectivity. The facility is also available to users from many other institutions, including community colleges and high schools.

CSU Stanislaus Greenhouses

The biology greenhouse complex consists of two environmental rooms under glass, a potting room and a soils storage area. One environmental room is designed for plants that prefer shade and higher humidity. The other room houses plants that can tolerate higher light intensities and lower humidity. These facilities are used primarily to maintain plants used in courses and to provide space for student projects

CSU Stanislaus Herbarium

The CSU Stanislaus herbarium contains approximately 4,000 specimens. All records are in a database that is searchable on-line. The herbarium also contains a searchable database of more than 500 type specimens of the genus Arnica from 27 herbaria.

CSU Stanislaus Pollinarium

The CSU Stanislaus Pollinarium has 500 square feet of experimental gardens, educational demonstrations, and walkways for studying pollinator-plant interactions. 

Moss Landing Marine Laboratories

CSU Stanislaus is one of the seven California State Universities in the consortium that governs MLML. Our students in the Marine Biology concentration typically attend MLML as part of the concentration. We also use MLML in several of our undergraduate courses. CSUS graduate students in Marine Science do all of their graduate work at MLML but receive their degree from CSU Stanislaus.

San Joaquin Valley Endangered Species Recovery Program

The San Joaquin Valley Endangered Species Recovery Program, housed at CSU Stanislaus, is a cooperative program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation administered by the CSU Stanislaus Foundation.

Steve's Plant Image Database

Steve's Plant Image Database contains several hundred digital photographs of plants used in various botany courses at CSU Stanislaus.
