9/21: I see many students are already skipping class. You will regret it.

9/23: The first exam will cover from Introduction through
Osmosis. Please review the rules and procedures for exams. E.g. since there are
different versions of the exam, failure to record the red exam number on your
scantron may result in the wrong key being used. Also be sure to fill the room
from the front or the exam will be delayed.
9/23: Friday
September 25 is a furlough day. There is no class, but you are responsible for
the
photosynthesis lecture. Your text has all the figures that would be shown in
class and
Youtube has over 2,000 videos on the subject. Your instructor will answer a
few very specific questions on photosynthesis at the beginning of class
on Monday, Sept 28. But he will not lecture on the topic.
9/29:
Read the proper procedures for email correspondence.
Emails without a subject, in this case the course number, will not be
read, nor acknowledged by your instructor.

10/7: Just a reminder that Monday, October 12 is a Furlough Day and there will
be no class. Your assignment is the
Cell Division notes. If you waited for me on Monday, 10/5, you already have
a great head start. Your text, an Internet image search, as well as a video
search of Youtube will provide you with plenty of supplemental materials.
10/19: The second exam on Friday, Oct. 23 will cover the lectures photosynthesis
through DNA.
10/20: November 23 and 25 furlough day assignment has been posted on the
syllabus. Be sure to download the questions, worth 10 pts., which must be handed
in by Nov. 30 at 12:20 pm. Questions from this series may also appear on the
final exam.
11/18:

11/19: Purchase the proper scantron form well in advance of exams. No excuses,
including the bookstore runs out of them, will be accepted for not having the
proper form for any exam.
11/20: Because MSR offices are closed for furloughs today, the deadline for
submitting your change of grading option form to Admissions and Records has been
extended to 5 pm November 23. However, the deadline for your instructor to sign
them has passed.
