Driving Directions to the “Mend the Bend:  Big Bend Volunteer Planting Day”

The event will be at Venn Farms, 4507 Broyle Road, Modesto, CA 95358-9676.

From Downtown Modesto:

1)      Take H Street southwest.

2)      H Street becomes Paradise Avenue.  Continue on Paradise Ave for about 1.7 mi.

3)      Turn left (south) onto Carpenter Rd and drive for 3.5 miles.

4)      Turn right (west) onto Grayson Road and drive for 4.5 miles

5)      Turn right (north) onto Broyle Road, which is actually a long dirt driveway with orchards along one side (west side), and an open field along the other.  There will be a sign posted at the drive that says “Big Bend Event”.  Take the drive up 0.6 miles.

From Hwy 99 Southbound:

1)      Take the I Street/Downtown Modesto exit.  Drive straight through the light at the end of the off ramp

2)      Go 1 block to H Street and turn right.

3)      Pickup directions at Step 2 from downtown Modesto.

From Hwy 99 Northbound:

1)      Take the 6^th Street exit.  The exit merges onto 6^th St, which parallels Hwy 99.

2)      Drive 3 blocks to H Street and turn left.

3)      Pickup directions at Step 2 from downtown Modesto.

From the Bay Area:

1)      Take I-580 from the East Bay.  After crossing over the Altamont Pass, stay in the right lane so as to be sure to stay on I-580 towards Los Angeles and I-5 South.

2)      Take the Hwy 132 exit and drive east 12.8 miles to Paradise Road.

3)      Turn Right (south) onto Paradise Road and drive 2.8 miles.

4)      Turn Right (south) onto Shiloh Road and drive 3.3 miles.

5)      Turn left (east) onto Grayson Road and drive 1.5 miles.

6)      Turn left onto Broyle Road, which actually a long dirt driveway with orchards along one side (west side), and an open field along the other.  There will be a sign posted at the drive that says “Big Bend Event”.  Take the drive up 0.6 miles.
