Cannell Trail & Cannell Plunge

Today I had a fantastic ride on the Cannell Trail and Cannell Plunge with Colette (Impy), Dick (Cohenfive), Steve (IRTGU) and Alan. It had obviously rained recently because the trails were in the finest condition I've ever seen. Very little sand and almost no dust. This ride was quite a contrast to my last one, on which I felt really slow and clumsy. It was very fast and I had my best skills ever. Colette and Dick did a great job leading me and this is the first time I made everything on the Cannell Trail. Even the two hike-a-bikes weren't too bad. Poor Steve brought a heavy downhill bike and he had to push it quite a bit early on. But once we hit the downhills we barely saw him again.

By the time we hit the Plunge I was feeling pretty good and I thought were were going too slow for a video. So I must apologize for the not so subtle hints to Colette and Dick to speed it up. Colette is about the only person I know who has more trouble with exposure than me and this was Dick's first trip to the Plunge. Later I recalled how after finishing my first ride down the Plunge I swore I'd never go back. That was eight rides ago. And the speed on the video looks pretty good. Below are a few photos.
