Today I had a great ride with Nugjug at Ft. Bragg,/Mendocino. With only 9 1/2 hours of daylight we started a bit before sunrise. It was pretty cool and damp in the deep ravines, but otherwise a pretty pleasant day. Early on we stopped to shed some clothes and about a half hour later I stopped for a photo and discovered I'd left my camera behind. So we had to back track to pick it up. The trails were surprisingly dry and in really good shape. Nugjug gave me a pretty good tour of a variety of trails. Without a tripod and a good bit of patience it is virtually impossible to get a good photo in the deep, dark Redwood forests. Fungi were everywhere and I stopped to take a few photos of some. Near the end of the ride we went out to the coast briefly and it was quite nice.
