Bootleg Canyon, Las Vegas, Nevada

After riding two days ago at Hurricane, Utah and taking yesterday off George and I met Eric and Jen for a ride at Bootleg Canyon outside of Las Vegas. The weather was pretty decent for this time of year but extremely windy. George had ridden both of the two previous days and he said he was tired. And apparently I was too. This was one of the shortest (less than two hours), and worst rides I've ever done. I didn't seem to have anything in me and my technical skills were at their worst. 

I went up the fireroad to warm up the knees while the other three went up Girl Scout. The last time I was there I went up Girl Scout and it was too much to soon with cold knees. We then did the Caldera Trail and finished up down East Leg. Jen was pretty inexperienced with singletrack but she did quite well. She fell once, smashing her helmet, but she continued on. Although the ride seemed very difficult, at least it was nice weather and nice scenery. The video is nothing special but I promised Eric he would be in a video. Below are a few photos.
