Below are maps for the routes I've ridden or plan to ride. Visit the trips page for keys to any colors I've drawn on the maps.

Notice: I am not a cartographer. Use these maps at your own risk. 

• Auburn State Recreation area: 

  • A 25 mile route: pdf version, large jpeg version, small jpeg version.

  • A 31 mile route: pdf version

• Annadel State Park, near Santa Rosa, CA

  • Map from the park brochure, which contains both the mileages and some topo lines. I've added the mileage (1.3) on Lawndale Rd. Not shown is perhaps 0.5 miles from the base of Cobblestone to the park entrance. It's in pdf format and about 650 kb. 

  • I've drawn a map based on my own rides and information from others. Jpeg format, or pdf format.

  • Here is a satellite image of where we park.

  • Here is the elevation profile (courtesy of BigLarry) for my usual 25 miler.

• Boggs Mountain Demonstration forest - Two versions, a jpeg version (1 meg) and a pdf version (1.7 meg). I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the map, I just scanned it.

• Cannell Trail and Cannell Plunge

  • Cannell Trail - near Kernville, California. For printing purposes I have cut the map in half. Download the top and bottom separately, print out and tape together.

• China Hole, Henry W. Coe State Park - near San Jose, California.

• Downieville Area, California - here are links to jpeg and pdf files of the best Downieville maps I've seen. The jpeg images are about 350 kb each and at slightly different scales but they'll fit together close enough, here is the left side, here is the right side. The pdf images are about 750 kb each. Here is one pdf file, here is the other pdf file. Many thanks to Lucy Chaplin Trumbull who provided them!

• Fort Ord - near Monterey, California. Very large pdf version of the entire trail system. 

  • Click here to download a zip file Google Earth map of Ft. Ord with all the trails, from the Monterey Off Road Cycling Association. 
  • The BLM website has very detailed descriptions, topo maps and elevation profiles for all the trails.

• Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Rim Trail Sections

  • Mt. Rose to Spooner Lake

  • Spooner to Kingsbury

  • Kingsbury to Big Meadow (includes Toads, i.e. Saxson Creek)

• Lake Tahoe - Rim Trail and Flume Trail, Mt. Rose to Spooner Lake. For printing purposes I have split it into two parts, download the top and bottom separately, print and tape together.

• Lake Tahoe State Park, NV Map.

• Mammoth Mountain, CA - Bike Park map (pdf file).

• New Melones (GH) Recreation Area - near Sonora, California.

• Old Coast Highway - near Carmel, California.

• Olmstead Loop, near Cool, California.

• Red Hills - near LaGrange, California. Updated by The 0gre.

• Salmon Falls - near Folsom, California.

• Wilder Ranch State Park - near Santa Cruz, California, here is the official map, for printing purposes I have drawn over it and split it into two parts, here is the top and here is the bottom.
